hey everyone

well i see were still server problems atm but at least here will be able to stay in touch . i got my computer fixed and internet back on so once you guys get site back i will be on more

I'm starting to think the board may never be restored now.
I have no idea when the hosting was paid until exactly, or if a backup was made after the last problems were sorted out.
Most of the admins seem to be MIA.....I haven't received any other information besides what's posted on this backup site.

we just need to hope for the best outta this situation. i would hate the idea of having look for new board to post on

Dave has the latest backup. As for me I have been in the hospital. Get a hold of David if you can. I don't have a backup because I formatted my HDD an forgot to back it up. Scott may also have a backup and most likely does.

I've sent more emails to Uppy but he hasn't replied, nor has he been active here for quite some time.
If somebody else wants to keep spamming him that's up to them.
I've done all I possibly can to help sort out what's going on, so it's up to somebody else to try to contact Dave, because I have no method of contacting him anyway.

The only contact emails I have for admins are for Dill and Uppy.

What happened to Sanctus? He was having health issues too recently. And where is UpInYa?

Unless either one appears I would have to redo everything from scratch, but the site would be back up sans posts and members. I wouldn't mind starting over with vBulletin instead of IPB.

Dave was going to be gone for a few weeks.. a few week break for him and his wife and he was leaving the comp with her for her schooling I think.

Yeah, Dave will probably still be difficult if not impossible to contact atm........even if I did have his email address.
God knows what's happened to Uppy though, it's like he's vanished since he did the DNS thing

Why not just setup the board anyway, with either IPB or vB, and then we can worry about if it's possible to restore the old board when all the staff show up? Not everyone seems to be checking this backup site for whatever reason, plus the regular users are left out of the knowledge loop.Maybe most will be wondering if TSO is gone forever, who knows?

2012 is right around the corner anyway. No use worrying about a site when there probably won't be any sites soon. And it may be that we will be visited by aliens "officially" in 2012, if they are anything like us they would try to enslave us and conquer us as humans treat those who are less advanced than them as a civilization.

Unless Uppy has died or gone to jail he's sure to show up at some stage.
Dave may take another week or so to show up though.
I think it may be a good idea for all admins to make it their business to make their own backup of the db whenever they're around.
Except maybe Under, only cos I have no idea if he has a data cap or a slow speed.
It's just an idea anyway.
I'd never be able to do it myself with my speed even if I had the status to look at that stuff.

i could make a copy with my speed but you probably have to be admin in order to do that kinda stuff.
